A Virtual Assistant’s... 10 Best Places in London for a Business Meeting

As a Virtual Assistant, working with London clients, we’re always being asked for recommendations of where meetings should take place. We try to steer clear of generic hotel lobbies, usually opting instead for vibrant, dynamic independent coffee shops where great atmosphere and great coffee set the scene for great meetings.

So here’s our list: A Virtual Assistant's 10 best places in London for a business meeting.

1. Grind Many across London

Grind coffee shops, deliver great coffee, a buzzing atmosphere and good food, in great locations. Whitechapel Grind is one of my personal favourites and is great for meetings.

2. Hubbard & Bell/The Hoxton High Holborn, Holborn

Finally booked in that dream client meeting but having to squeeze in a chat outside office hours? No problem. Holborn's Hubbard & Bell has comfy seating and private booths, WiFi and great coffee – and they’re open until 2am every weeknight.

3. Department of Coffee & Social Affairs Leather Lane, Holborn

Tucked between Gray’s Inn Road and Farringdon Road (close to Chancery Lane station) the Department of Coffee and Social Affairs on Leather Lane has a private meeting room, cosy booths and communal seating. Ideal for (almost) any kind of meeting.

4. citizenM, Tower of London

With a stylish workspace lobby area, this is the perfect place to work or conduct your meetings. They have a selection of places you can work, from large tables, booths and smaller tables. They also have lots of places you can charge your devices too.

5. Pennethorne's at Somerset House Somerset House, The Strand

A stylish bar in the New Wing of Somerset House, just off Waterloo Bridge. Great for cocktails, craft beers and (perhaps more suitably) coffees and teas. If the sun is out take your mocha and your moleskine out to the terrace and talk business overlooking the river.

6. The Botanist Broadgate Circle, Liverpool St

Steps from Liverpool St station, so ideal for meeting clients or partners travelling into London. The perfect spot for a quick, classy business meeting over coffee, or a great evening dining option. Opt for al fresco drinks and food on the terrace throughout summer.

7. Foxcroft & Ginger Mile End Rd, Whitechapel

If you're meeting your virtual assistant out east head for Whitechapel's Foxcroft & Ginger. Open long enough for a pre-work chat or post-work drink, it serves good coffee, unusual teas and fresh-baked pizzas – all just down the road from Whitechapel and Stepney Green stations.

8. The Royal Institution Albemarle St, Mayfair

Open 8am-5pm and offering free WiFi, the Ri's Café offers a range of hot and cold drinks, beers and wines, and light lunches. Quiet, sophisticated surroundings that give you the space and the atmosphere you need to plan big wins with your virtual assistant.

9. Little House Queen St, Mayfair

OK, so it's Soho House members and guests only, but if you or your virtual assistant is a member Little House is a great option. Informal, cosy (think open fires and leather armchairs) and offering exceptional food, it's the perfect London venue for in-depth, immersive meetings.

10. Bean & Hop Garratt Ln, Earlsfield

Fast (and free) WiFi, plenty of power outlets and a laid-back atmosphere make this Earlsfield gem a great option for an informal meeting with your virtual assistant in West London. Serving Nude Espresso Roastery coffee and over 60 craft beers.
